Map to GPX

Privacy

Effective 16 October 2026

Map to GPX has no accounts, no ads and no tracking. It sends only what it needs to build your route, and nothing about you is stored on its servers.

This covers the Map to GPX app for iPhone and Android and the website at map-to-gpx.com. Both are made by Mochamad Hakim Haiman.

What leaves your device, and why

OpenRouteService, Nominatim, CARTO and Google receive these requests under their own privacy policies. When a request goes through Map to GPX's server, they see the server, not you.

What the server keeps

To keep the shared routing quota fair, the routing service counts requests per IP address for up to one hour. That count is deleted when the hour is up, without being recorded. Only the total number of routes per day is kept, with no IP address or route attached.

What stays on your device

Your last route, your settings and, if you add one, your own OpenRouteService key are stored on your phone or in your browser, so the route opens offline. They are never uploaded. Deleting the app, or clearing the site's data in your browser, removes them. With your own key, routes go straight from your device to OpenRouteService.

Website analytics

map-to-gpx.com counts page views with Vercel Web Analytics, which uses no cookies and does not identify you. A shared route in the page address is removed before anything is sent. The apps have no analytics.

The website also loads its typeface from Google Fonts and its map library from unpkg, which see your browser's request like any web page's.

Sharing and selling

Map to GPX does not sell or share your data, and does not use it for advertising.
